Ryan first became interested in compressed earth blocks in 2012. He was consulting on a construction project in South Africa when he saw a TV commercial for a CEB machine...and immediately loved the concept. Five years later he and his family would, by chance, move next door to Lawrence Jetter (founder of AECT) in San Antonio. The rest is history! Ryan and a business partner bought AECT in July of 2017 and vowed to carry on the company's legacy.
Ryan has a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and an MBA from The University of Texas' McCombs School of Business. He has a construction and project management background and has consulted on some of the largest construction projects in the world. His experience has served him well as he aims to take AECT to the next level and make compressed earth blocks a standard building material in the United States...and the answer to the housing crisis around the globe.
